Aden-no fun at all. Delirium inducing fever, a brick wall instead of sinus passages, dueling pink eyes, sore throat, tummy ache and a little diarrhea and vomit to add to the mix. Poor Nolan was miserable with a capital "M," missed a week of school, a week of eating very much and a week of being able to breathe around his baby sis.
The docs words were, "I don't usually recommend this, but if you have grandparents in the area, maybe he could spend a few days with them." Apparently if a baby Sylvi's age gets something like this they are most likely hospitalized with meningitis. The first 4 nights Daddy had Nolan patrol and I stuck with Sylvi. We split up the house. The boys got the office, the basement and Nolan's room. The girls had M & D's bedroom and the living room. The bathroom was the place we had to clean... a lot. When Nolan's fever subsided enough for him to start roaming around pushing the boundaries and spraying the floors and walls with every sneeze and cough he went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a couple days. Daddy stayed too on the second night.
It was a hard week, but we got through it and all is well now. Our hands are raw and bleeding from washing them so much, but it's all worth it. Normalcy commences tomorrow. I almost enjoyed making lunches for tomorrow this evening.
Ps. Go Colts!
