The training wheels are off! Nolan literally took off riding down the street with no assistance. No falls. No drama. (Yet.) He said after his second trip down the street for which he didn't even need help starting... he pushed off on his own, "My heart is full of joy!" The smile is ear to ear and he is sooooooo proud. (We are too.) He is proving himself a clutch player... learning to swim without help the last day the pool is open... learning to ride his bike with out the trainers during the last of the summer-ish weather. He is a 9th inning/ 4th quarter kinda guy.

Good strategy for Nolan - bad strategy for the Colts!!
That's great guys. Reminds me of when we used to ride in the dirt next to the house on the bikes dad got out of the trash with the oversized black huffy seats, spray painting them blue (for me) and red (for you...or was it pink). When we raced you drove me into the wall (i.e. mom's corola station wagon) and i took a handle bar off the crotch. Each time you lapped me as I lay on the ground you let me know there was no way I was catching up if I kept rolling around in the dirt. This isn't so much a story of a first bike ride as it is a first crotch shot. Congrats to Nolan!
Soon Burd will be rendered moot by the antics of his son on two wheels, or perhaps one, or in the future, even less. But the t-shirt sales over the Inet will exceed the best of projections. Go Nolan Go.
D-Man
